RAID 0 - Disk Striping
With RAID 0, or a configuration known as "data striping", data is written in sequential sections across more than two drives. RAID 0 is easy to implement, and it can dramatically improve performance. Several drives can be accessed at once, minimizing the overall "seek" time of larger files. This configuration has no data redundancy and therefore no protection against data loss, however, so it should not be used for business-critical applications.

INTRODUCTION
CGS-1U3FI is ideally suited for tailgate interface applications for removable-media drives CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows two IDE drives (Master and Slave) to be connected to FireWire (IEEE 1394) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion.
CGS-1U3FI allows users to easily hot-swap IDE drive without interrupting the current operation.
CGS-1U3FI provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using IDE (ATA/ATAPI) devices.
FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) Bridge Board:
