Customer Reviews

  1. It works well and runs fast Review by cheetahws

I am using this as a portable backup drive. It's fast, runs great. The only thing I have noticed is that if it is already on and plugged in the OS doesn't see it. You have to have the OS booted then either plug the drive in or turn it on. Don't know why and it is not a big deal at all. Other than that it does what I wanted it to do. (Posted on 6/23/2014)

  2. First couple days Review by Dennis

Unit was received in good shape in a reasonable time.
I used two older WD 160 GB drives to test the unit.
Wanted to test the Raid 1 rebuild - which works fine.
Takes about 1 hr to rebuild 160 GB.
No software so there are no options to the configuration
    beyond the switches.
    Two things:
The fan seems to be heat sensitive so it is quiet at first but louder later.
With my HP Elitebook laptop you have to boot the PC first then turn on the
enclosure - otherwise it connects at USB 2.0.
    More later.
