Designed for using the high capacity HDD with 500GB or above, the advanced and sturdy TD-M12O SATA HDD enclosure equips a quiet, low-power consumption DC fan. The cooling fan inhales an air blowing toward the HDD and the vents on the bottom case drain the warm air out, offering excellent air circulation inside the enclosure, and protecting the high RPM SATA hard drives efficiently. The thermally efficient aluminum housing protects your data by maintaining optimum temperature for HDD operation. The quadruple interfaced TD-M12O provides an eSATA connector enabling high speed SATA data transfer between the enclosure and a desktop computer that supports SATA. In addition to eSATA connection, the TD-M12O SATA HDD enclosures convert the SATA signal to a USB 2.0 or FireWire signal, enabling use of a SATA HDD with any notebook or desktop system that has a USB 2.0, FireWire 400, or FireWire 800 port, but no SATA II (eSATA) port. The HDD spin down function ensures efficient operation by reducing power consumption. When the host system enters sleep mode, the TD-M12O hard disk spins down to minimize power consumption. The hard disk spins up automatically when the host system wakes up. The hybrid TD-M12O additionally provide an eSATA connector and a shielded external SATA cable for enabling high speed SATA data transfer between the enclosure and a desktop computer that supports SATA. When the extension cable is connected to the motherboard the port bracket provides 2 eSATA ports for connecting the 3.5" SATA HDD enclosure. The advanced anti-shock chamber and shock absorbers protect the HDD against impact damage, accidental drops and bumps while the novel secure fixing mechanism maintains HDD stability if the enclosure flips over or encounters violent motion.
