The adapter offers four external SATA II ports at up to 3Gbps each, enabling users to setup individual drives, RAID 0/1/5/0+1 or JBOD RAID arrays for high performance storage systems.

The card is fully compatible with Mac and PC systems.

The latest firmware and driver included with the card allow Mac users to connect individual drives and subsystems with SATA port multiplier simultaneously.

Based on a New SATA II 3Gb/s Silicon Image chip architecture, the SiI 3124™ is a single-chip PCI-X to 4-port Serial ATA (eSATA) host controller, that takes SATA performance and features to enterprise levels. Our eSATA-PCI-X fills the of applications such as servers, workstations and storage systems that require maximum performance from their storage assets. Utilizing a 64-bit/133 MHz PCI-X interface and 4 independent Serial ATA channels, the eSATA-PCIX can be add to motherboard's PCI or PCI-X slot.
