The EC-S12CI provides mobile and power users a host of innovative features, including anti-shock protection*, secure fixing (HDD) mechanism, silent operation and the FireWire and USB 2.0 combo interfaces in encrypted configuration. Designed for mobility, the Enclosure Kit is small enough to fit in your pocket, and versatile enough to accommodate virtually any off the shelf 2.5" 9.5mm high IDE hard drive.

For security-sensitive users, Onnto's wide range of encrypted enclosures meet the individual data security needs of data security requirements with NIST certified DES (Data Encryption Standard) and TDES (Triple DES) algorithms, which intercept, interpret, translate and relay IDE commands and data to and from the disk drives, encrypting data with DES/TDES 40/64/128-bit key strengths.

Security: The standard shipment is with encryption of DES/TDES 40-bit key length. The designs with 64/128-bit encryptions are available by request.

Supports Hi-Speed USB data transfer speed of up to 480Mbps, and IEEE 1394a data transfer speed of up to 400Mbps. USB Mass Storage Class offers driverless in Windows XP, 2000 and ME. Supports most 2.5" HDD, and ultra high capacity HDDs larger than 137GB. Easy to connect by plug-n-play. Combines enclosure and 1394 repeater functionality. Build-in DC-DC converter enabling 1394 bus power. Maximizes thermal protection with Aluminum construction. Provides robust HDD fixing mechanism to reduce risk of HDD damage during movement. Prevents drop damage to HDD with anti-shock design.. Supports DES/TDES 40-bit hardware encryption security
