The driver install is effortless when performed as instructed in the included manual. The card itself appears to be high quality in both manufacturing and design.
The micro connection of the card to the cable adapter is retained by actuation clips that prevent accidental disconnects, which is a help when you are connecting multiple cabled components.
The interface has operated flawlessly thus far, with no problems connecting, addressing, or transferring data.
I am not pressing its speed specifications with my application, but it has been totally problem-free in operation. I am using it on a very outdated laptop, (the "D" word) to tune a piggyback tuner module in my truck, which requires having 2 RS232 ports.
I would recommend this adapter to anyone requiring such without reservation. (Posted on 9/18/2015)
