USB-122SD1B (Horizontal Type, supports 2x IDE drives) USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) bridge board with DC 12V Input and DC output (12V & 5V) for IDE drive INTRODUCTION The USB-122SD1B implements a bridge between one USB 2.0 port and two ATA/ATAPI based mass storage device ports. This bridge adheres to the Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport specification and is intended for self-powered devices. Hardware design allows CBW command queuing, which allows data transfer rates of up to the USB theoretical maximum. The USB port of the USB-122SD1B is connected to a host computer directly or via the downstream port of a USB hub. Host software issues commands and data to the USB-122SD1B and receives status and data from the USB-122SD1B using standard USB protocol. Built-in USB2.0-to-IDE Interface Controller with general IDE interface & bulk-only transport of USB mass storage class support industry-standard 8/16-bit PIO/DMA & Multi-word DMA and Ultra Mode DMA modes 0-4 (upto UDMA66) for storage devices as DVD/CD-ROM, CD-R/W and Harddisk device, etc. The ATA/ATAPI interface supports The device initialization process is configurable, enabling the USB-122SD1B to initialize most ATA/ATAPI devices without software intervention.
